Harnessing AI to improve the onboarding experience and dashboard for an innovative recruitment firm

Overview

OCTOPYD is a new kind of recruiting firm that seeks to revolutionize the industry by harnessing user motivations to facilitate candidate referrals and reviews.

​Prior to this project, the company's exposure was limited to users gained by word of mouth.​

​Through extensive user research, design, and testing, my team accomplished the following:

  • Updated the onboarding process and dashboard experience for Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) with AI capabilities

  • Brought increased awareness to the platform

  • Identified and implemented marketability strategies for future success

The User

SME (Subject Matter Expert) - OCTOPYD’s key user type, comprised of professionals with one, or more, of the following:

  • 5+ years of experience in a field or industry

  • A Master’s Degree in a field

  • A Doctoral Degree in a field

The problem statement we developed based on interview results was:

Improve the onboarding experience so SMEs can arrive to an intuitive landing page where they can view jobs, make referrals, and perform evaluations on the dashboard. Users will also be able to easily track their referrals and transactions.
